BARNES AND NOBLE OPEN MIC NIGHTS


Barnes & Noble at NMSU will continue the popular Open Mic performances from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays. To sign up to perform, contact bncafe@nmsu.edu.

AMERICAN SOUTHWEST THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS FREE READINGS

American Southwest Theatre Company at NMSU's Department of Theatre Arts will present a reading of the new play, "West Highland Way" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, as part of the High Desert Play Development program. KIDS' FAVORITE CANINE COMPANIONS RETURN TO BARNES AND NOBLE

Families are invited to share the excitement of reading with their children during two dog-themed Story Times coming to the Barnes & Noble at NMSU. First, Biscuit the Dog will stop by at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, and again at noon on Sunday, Feb. 2. Then, Clifford the Big Red Dog will make an appearance at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, and again at noon on Sunday, March 2. All Story Time readings are free and open to the public. Campus parking is free on the weekends.

THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS RETURN TO PAN AMERICAN CENTER

The Harlem Globetrotters will bring their brand new "Fans Rule" show to the NMSU Pan American Center at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4. Tickets are $25, $35, $45 and $82 plus fees.

NMSU ATHLETICS PRESENTS EQUESTRIAN, BASKETBALL

NMSU Equestrian will compete against the University of South Carolina during an event beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the NMSU Equestrian Center. Admission is free, and free informative programs explaining the sport of equestrian will be available.

NMSU Men's Basketball will face Utah Valley University during the "White Out" U.S. Bank Hall of Fame game, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1. During this event, the "Voice of the Aggies," Jack Nixon, along with women's basketball star Melanie Maynes-Alfaro and Scott Lieberwirth, will be inducted into the U.S. Bank Hall of Fame. Additionally, former NMSU men's basketball players will return during a reunion hosted by the Aggie Athletic Club, and special guest Sonny the Cuckoo Bird will be in attendance to help entertain children. The first 5,000 patrons through the door will receive a free Aggie T-shirt.

NMSU Women's Basketball will take on the University of Idaho during Campus Organization Night, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. During this event, students, faculty and staff are invited to discover a campus group to get involved with.
