NMSU to host Albuquerque Women's Estate Planning Conference

A seminar to teach women about estate planning will be held in Albuquerque starting March 18. New Mexico State University is offering the inaugural Women's Estate Planning Conference, a four-part community service series, at no cost to registered participants. Early registration is encouraged due to space limitations.

The curriculum focuses on the fundamentals of financial and estate planning including wills and trusts, asset protection, taxes, charitable giving, elder law and money management.

"This conference has been very successful in Las Cruces during the last seven years, and we hope to have the same success in central and northern New Mexico," said Kristina Martinez, NMSU Foundation Regional Advancement Officer. "We are proud to offer a program that educates women on the many aspects of estate planning, which can be overwhelming. This will be our first conference in Albuquerque, and we're pleased to be able to provide this type of community education to ladies in central and northern New Mexico."

The event is every Tuesday from 8:15 to 11 a.m. from March 18 until April 8 at the NMSU Albuquerque Center located at 4501 Indian School Road NE.

The NMSU Foundation, Kenneth C. Leach & Associates and NMSU Albuquerque Center are sponsoring the event.
