Law Day programs scheduled Oct. 3

The New Mexico State University Law and Society program and the university's placement and career services department will sponsor the second annual program on law school, called Law Day, Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Representatives from several law schools will be available to meet with prospective students from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second floor lobby of Corbett Student Center. In addition several panels on issues of interest to prospective law students will be held in Corbett Center, Room 214.

The panels are: Tips for Taking the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), 9-10 a.m.; Financing Law School, 10:15-10:45 a.m.; The Law School Experience, 11 a.m. - noon.

"The purpose of Law Day is to help students and members of the public who are considering law school to make informed decisions about where, when and even if they want to apply and to help them be better prepared for the application process," said New Mexico State associate government Professor Nancy Baker, director of the Law and Society program.
