The award-winning food and travel writer Sunny Conley will give a presentation at New Mexico State University's Branson Library at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. The presentation, "Remembering New Mexico's Old West," will be held on the east side of the second floor.
of the book, "New Mexico Farms and Ranches: Folks and Fixin's," will be available for purchase. It was edited by Conley and features authentic recipes and facets of rural New Mexico history and culture taken from oral histories.
Conley's food column appears weekly in the Las Cruces Sun-News. Her food commentaries are also featured on KRWG-FM.
She is the host and co-producer of "Hot on the Trail," a national PBS pilot show headlining the chile frenzy in the Southwest.
Conley has received more than 20 awards for her books, food columns, travel and business features and publications.
The presentation is a special collections event of the Southwest Border Research Center of the university library.
