BARNES AND NOBLE OPEN MIC NIGHTS


Barnes & Noble at NMSU will continue the popular Open Mic performances from 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays. To sign up to perform, contact bncafe@nmsu.edu.

Open Mic is free of charge and open to the public. Free parking is available in designated spaces. Barnes & Noble at NMSU is located at 1400 E. University Ave. For more information, call 575-646-5822.

$1 ICED TEA OR ICED COFFEE EVERY MONDAY IN MARCH

Every Monday in March, any size iced coffee or iced tea will be available for $1 at the Barnes & Noble at NMSU.

NMSU?S DANCE PROGRAM PRESENTS ?OUR MILESTONE?

NMSU?s dance program will present, ?Our Milestone,? a culminating senior choreography experience, at the NMSU Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m., March 20-22. The show will display the hard work and dedication of the NMSU dance program seniors, and will feature modern dance, Flamenco, Ballet Folklorico and Eastern-inspired dances. There will be a reception following Friday?s performance to raise money for NMSU dance program scholarships.

General admission is $10 in advance, $12 at the door and $5 for children 12 and under. Call 575-646-2070 for ticket information.

ATKINSON RECITAL HALL TO HOST DONA ANA LYRIC OPERA

The Dona Ana Lyric Opera will present Jacques Offenbach?s comic operetta, ?Orpheus in the Underworld,? at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 14; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15; and 3 p.m. Sunday March 16, at the Atkinson Recital Hall on the NMSU campus.

Conductor Evan Dorbandt will lead an orchestra of NMSU students and faculty. The production is sung in French with English supertitles, and features new English dialogue written by director John Carlo Pierce.

WAC BASKETBALLTOURNAMENT

NMSU Men?s and Women?s Basketball will compete in the 2014 Western Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament held at the Orleans Arena inside The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev., March 12-15. Tickets will be sold on a daily basis at the Orleans Arena Box Office. Students can receive a discounted ticket price of $20 a day, by showing their NMSU ID.

NMSU ATHLETICS PRESENTS SOFTBALL

NMSU Softball will take on the University of New Mexico at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the NMSU Softball Complex. Admission for students and children 12 and under is free. For tickets, call 575-646-1420 or visit the Pan American Ticket Office.
