NMSU to host talk on education in the borderland

New Mexico State University?s Center for Latin American and Border Studies will host a presentation on education in the borderland featuring College of Education Assistant Professor Cristobal Rodriguez at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at the Nason House, 1070 University Ave.

Rodriguez, who teaches in the educational management and development department, is presenting a talk titled ?Latina/o Student Policy Advocacy and the History of George I. Sanchez.?

Motivated by his secondary and post-secondary education professional involvement in serving and preparing diverse students for academic success, Rodriguez? research, teaching and service interests are focused on leadership and policies that influence educational opportunity throughout the educational system for settings with concentrated diverse demographics such as the U.S. Southwest Borderlands.
