Rabbi to give tour of Judy Chicago art exhibit at New Mexico State University

Rabbi Jerry Kane and his wife Cyrille Kane, docents at the New Mexico State University Art Gallery, will guide a tour of "Trials and Tributes: A Judy Chicago Retrospective" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the gallery.

timedia exhibit, on display until Feb. 17, showcases works by the Jewish artist best known for pioneering the feminist art movement. Works on display include parts of "The Dinner Party," "The Birth Project," "The Holocaust Project" and her newest work, a series of lithographs based on Marcia Falk's translation of "The Song of Songs."

Following the tour, participants are invited to Milagro Coffee y Espresso, on University Avenue across from campus. The art gallery is located in Williams Hall, near the intersection of University Avenue and Solano Drive.
