Facebook users can register to win free tickets to the Pan American Center?s Sept. 30 concert featuring Foster The People and Fitz And The Tantrums by ?joining? the event page at http://on.fb.me/1pglQic, so that your account identifies you as ?going.? One winner will be randomly selected to win two free tickets on Wednesday, July 9. In addition, a second pair of tickets will be awarded that same day to a random Facebook account identified as ?invited.? TICKETS ON SALE FOR CASTING CROWNS BEGINNING JULY 18

Grammy and Dove Award-winning Christian rock band, Casting Crowns, will bring their Thrive Tour to NMSU?s Pan American Center at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18. Joining Casting Crowns will be former ?American Idol? finalist, Mandisa, and Dove Best New Artist Award winner, Sidewalk Prophets. Reserved seats are available for $20, $30, $40 and $50. Groups of 20 or more can take advantage of a special $2 discount per $20 or $30 ticket. Fees may apply. Tickets will be available beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, at the Pan Am Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster Outlets, charged by phone at 800-745-3000 or Ticketmaster.com. FREE PUBLIC STORY TIMES JULY 9 AND 23

Children and families are invited to National Sugar Cookie Day at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, inside the southeast Living Room on the 2nd floor of the Barnes & Noble at NMSU Bookstore & Café in Las Cruces. Attendees can enjoy cookies while listening to a reading of a cookie-themed children?s book. Then, at 11 a.m. July 23, another story time will take place on National Vanilla Ice Cream Day.

FOUR SESSIONS OF JUNIOR YOUTH GOLF CAMP AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT JULY

The NMSU Golf Course will host Junior Golf Camps throughout the summer. Instructional Programming will be age and ability specific and junior golfers of all abilities are encouraged to sign up for these camps. NMSU Junior Golf Camps are a great way to introduce your child to the game and/or help them elevate their game to the next level for those aspiring to play on a high school or college golf team. Instruction will be lead by Jason White, PGA head golf professional with the assistance of NMSU PGA golf management students. Maximum student-to-instructor ratio will be 6:1.
