NMSU ATHLETICS PRESENTS SOCCER, FOOTBALL

NMSU Soccer will take on University of Nevada-Las Vegas at noon Sunday, Sept. 21, at the NM State Soccer Complex. Admission is free for students with a student ID.

NMSU Football will take on in-state rival UNM at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20. Youth tickets are $5 and any single game ticket starts at $12. MOTION STUDIES 101

There will be an NMSU Contemporary Dance Theater performance at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Rentfrow Gym. The gym is located at 3165 Williams Ave. Motion Studies 101 will present works in progress with choreography by students and faculty. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and children.


JARANA BEAT

The NMSU Music Business Program will host a Jarana Beat - Sounds of Afroameridian Mexico concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in the music building?s Atkinson Recital Hall. Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for students. They are available for sale at the Pan American Center box office.


TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA TICKETS

Trans-Siberian Orchestra will return to Las Cruces to debut its new rock opera, ?The Christmas Attic,? at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at NMSU?s Pan American Center. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20. TASTE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AT TAOS RESTAURANT

Corbett Center Student Union?s Taos Restaurant will hold a ?Taste of South Carolina? event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24. The event will feature local music and the opportunity to learn interesting facts about the state. Food items will include southern fried chicken, green bean casserole, skillet sweet potatoes, bacon corn chowder, banana cream pie pudding cups and sweet potato pie. Many of the regular Taos buffet items will also be available.

The price is one meal plan swipe or $7.89 plus tax. LAS CRUCES SHRINE CLUB CIRCUS

The Las Cruces Shrine Club Circus will return to NMSU?s Pan American Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26. Tickets will be available at the Pan Am Ticket Office one hour before the show. Adult tickets cost $18 and children are $14. Free children?s tickets are available at area merchants. ART DEPARTMENT LECTURE

Veronica Roberts, curator of modern and contemporary art at University of Texas-Austin?s Blanton Museum of Art, will give a lecture from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in D.W. Williams Hall Room 218.
