NMSU?s Branson Library to undergo asbestos abatement

New Mexico State University?s Branson Library will undergo asbestos abatement beginning Oct. 14 on the first, third and fourth floors. The abatement is scheduled to end Oct. 24, and areas impacted by the process will be contained and constantly monitored for air quality.

During the asbestos abatement, staff will be temporarily relocated. In addition, the Rio Grande Historical Collection, which includes the Amador Trade Catalogs, Amador Family Papers, Mary Daniels Taylor Durango Microfilm Collections, Rio Grande Historical Collection manuscripts, oral history collections and photographic materials, will be unavailable for on-demand access.
