NMSU to honor head of New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation program

The rally will honor Dean and Regents Professor Ricardo B. Jacquez of the College of Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering. NMSU Executive Vice President and Provost Daniel Howard and Dean Jacquez, principal investigators, were recently granted an extension for the National Science Foundation-funded New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (New Mexico AMP) program, now in its 21st year at NMSU. New Mexico AMP serves students at NMSU and nearly 30 partner institutions and campuses in the state of New Mexico.

After introductory remarks by Provost Howard, Dean Jacquez will present an overview of the AMP program and introduce project colleagues. At 9 a.m., Dean Jacquez will be available to answer questions about the program. Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
