New Mexico State University events Dec. 6-12

The following is a list of events taking place on the New Mexico State University Las Cruces campus between the dates of Dec. 6 and 12.


DANCE WORKS

The NMSU dance program will host Dance Works, a dance improvisational performance along with works in progress from student choreographers, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, in the back gym of the Activity Center. Admission is $2.

NMSU BASKETBALL

The NMSU men?s basketball team will take on UTEP in the Battle of I-10 at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Pan American Center. It is a whiteout game, and students are encouraged to wear white Aggie gear. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 575-646-1420 or visit the Pan American Center Ticket Office.

The NMSU women?s basketball team will take on UNM in the Rio Grande Rivalry at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. It is a whiteout game, and students are encouraged to wear white Aggie gear. Students get in for free.

FACULTY AND STAFF SHOPPING NIGHT

Barnes & Noble at NMSU Bookstore & Cafe will host a 25 percent discount offer with an NMSU faculty or staff ID from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. This offer excludes computers, tablets, iPads, iPods and textbooks. The event will include hors d?oeuvres, beverages, music, raffles and free gift wrapping courtesy of KRUX. Barnes & Noble at NMSU is located at 1400 E. University Ave. All campus parking is free on the weekends. For more information, call 575-646-4431.

FINALS LATE NIGHT BREAKFAST

This semester?s Finals Late Night Breakfast will take place from 9 to 11 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Corbett Center Student Union?s Taos Restaurant. Taos will close from 7 to 9 p.m. in preparation for the event. Admission is one meal plan swipe or $2 and a canned food item. The event will include breakfast items throughout the night, including pancakes, breakfast pizza, egg scrambles, pastries and a full hot chocolate bar.
