NMSU art department open house to include jewelry sale, student exhibits

WHAT: New Mexico State University Department of Art Open House

WHERE: D.W. Williams Hall and Wells Hall, NMSU campus

New Mexico State University?s art department in the College of Arts and Sciences will host its second Annual Open House event from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Williams Hall, the University Art Gallery and Wells Hall on the Las Cruces campus.

The community is invited to explore the facilities, meet graduate students and view the work students have been making throughout the semester. There will also be some art making demonstrations.

The UAG will have student thesis exhibitions on display. Ceramics, jewelry, printmaking and photo students will have items available for purchase, and proceeds benefit student travel and research.

The event is free and open to the public and light snacks will be served.
