?There are so many great things happening in the College of Education,? said Kelley Coffeen, the college?s assistant dean for advancement.

Alumni and friends of the College of Education are expected to attend the event and hear from Dean Michael Morehead, who will retire at the end of next month. He has served NMSU and the College of Education for 23 years.

Coffeen said Morehead will share the experiences of students, faculty and researchers in the college?s departments, including Educational Leadership and Administration, Kinesiology and Dance, Counseling and Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Instruction and Special Education and Communication Disorders.

?It is an opportunity to reconnect and let our College of Education alumni know what is happening in their college at NMSU,? Coffeen said.

The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. June 25 at La Posta de Mesilla, 2410 Calle de San Albino in Mesilla. Hors d?oeuvres will be provided. Attendees are asked to RSVP by June 22.
