WHAT: Scholarly Excellence Rally recognizing CBBG projects

The Scholarly Excellence Rally will recognize New Mexico State University as a core member of the Engineering Research Center for Bio-mediated & Bio-inspired Geotechnics (CBBG), recently funded by the National Science Foundation with $18.5 million for the center?s first five years. CBBG will focus on sustainable, cost-effective engineering solutions, inspired by nature, for the development and rehabilitation of resilient civil infrastructure systems.

After introductory remarks, Paola Bandini, NMSU principal investigator for CBBG and civil engineering associate professor, will give an overview of NMSU?s involvement in the center and introduce colleagues working in various CBBG projects at NMSU. At 9:30, Bandini will be available to answer questions. Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
