Novelist to read in Visiting Author Series

Award-winning novelist Robert Cohen will be featured in La Sociedad para las Artes' Spring 2002 Visiting Author Series Friday, April 19. The reading will begin at 7:30 p.m. in New Mexico State University's Hardman Hall Room 106.


s the author of three novels, "The Organ Builder," "The Here and Now" and "Inspired Sleep."

His work has been awarded a Whiting Writer's Award, a Lila Wallace-Readers Digest Award, the Ribalow Prize and the Pushcart Prize. It has appeared in publications such as Harper's, GQ, The Paris Review and Ploughshares.

Cohen teaches at Middlebury College in Vermont and Warren Wilson College in North Carolina.

New Mexico State University fiction graduate student Eric Moir will open the reading.
