University Museum announces schedule for summer

The New Mexico State University Museum Gallery will be closed from May 13 to May 17 and will reopen May 20. Also, the Museum will present its first summer Saturday Family Workshops with craft projects to include travel memory boxes, pop-up calling cards and umbrella wastebaskets from May 24 to Aug. 16.

-- July 12, Potpourri Sachets.

-- July 19, Story Box.

-- July 26, Pop-Up Calling Card.

-- Aug. 2, Treasure Map and Chest.

-- Aug. 9, Paper Dolls.

-- Aug. 16, Umbrella Wastebasket.

Weather permitting, the summer Family Workshops will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Kent Hall courtyard. They are free and open to all families. Supplies will be provided.

The University Museum, located in Kent Hall at the corner of University Avenue and Solano Drive, is open from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
