?These students have worked hard, and all have great talent. Each piece has it?s own character produced by the individual student,? said Motoko Furuhashi, assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences.

This year, each piece on sale is inspired by the student?s choice of location and type of jewelry.
Items available for purchase include earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, bolo ties, men?s jewelry and more. Every piece is handmade and one-of-a kind, produced in the metalsmithing and jewelry studio.

Nine of these students recently attended a jewelry and metals symposium at the Los Angeles County Museum where they were able to learn more about their craft and how to use their skills after graduation.

?We invite everyone to come shop these unique pieces,? said Furuhashi. ?It?s a great chance to see and purchase pieces done personally by our students, and support our program at the same time.?

All proceeds will be used to support student activities in the jewelry and metalsmithing program.
