NMSU Board of Regents to meet Jan. 20

The Board of Regents of New Mexico State University will hold multiple meetings Friday, Jan. 20, at the university?s Las Cruces campus.


A special meeting will be held at 8 a.m. at the University Center and President?s Residence, 4501 Geothermal Drive. This meeting will be held to discuss internal operations and budget issues within the Board of Regents Office. An agenda will be posted no later than 72 hours in advance of this meeting.

The Board of Regents will meet in executive session (closed) at the University Center and President?s Residence at 10 a.m. to discuss limited matters concerning personnel, pending or threatened litigation, real estate and water rights as allowed by the Open Meetings Act. The itemized agenda will be posted 72 hours prior to the closed meeting.

Members of the board will plant trees commemorating the service of Regent Amanda López Askin and Regent Michael Cheney at 12:30 p.m. adjacent to the Educational Services Building.

The Board of Regents will hold a regular meeting at 1 p.m. in the Regents Room in the Educational Services Building. This meeting will be available through webcast and can be accessed at http://panopto.nmsu.edu/bor/.

Copies of the agendas for these three meetings will be available at NMSU?s Zuhl Library (Las Cruces campus) and will also be posted on the university website at http://regents.nmsu.edu/agenda.
