Children in first through third grade can learn about ancient Rome in the class "There's No Place Like Rome" from 3:30 to 5 p.m. each Monday. They will learn about all types of comedy, from slapstick to puns. Cantrell promises the class will offer "fun for all."

A second course will be offered each Wednesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for students in fourth through eighth grade. Students in this workshop will learn comic techniques and improvisation skills through the numerous characters of Comedia del Arte.

The Children's Theatre Workshop will begin Sept. 8 and end the first week of May with productions at the Hershel Zohn Theatre.

Cost for the entire year is $270 and may be divided into monthly payments of $30. For more information, payment information or to reserve a place in either workshop, call the Department of Theatre Arts at (505) 646-4517.
