Graduate and Professional School Fair to be held at New Mexico State Oct. 1

Representatives from more than 60 graduate and professional schools are planning to participate in the 12th Annual Graduate and Professional School Fair at New Mexico State University from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1.

r will be held in the lobbies of the first and second levels of the Corbett Center Student Union. Law schools will be featured on the second level. Students and the public are invited to meet and talk to representatives about admission requirements, financial aid and other school-related information.

This year in conjunction with the fair, Linda Lacey, dean of NMSU's graduate school, will present a workshop titled "Applying to and Succeeding in Graduate School" at 10:30 a.m. in the Corbett Center Senate Chambers. Also, Lori Gallegos, a recruiter for the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, will present "So You Want to be a Doctor: Now What?" at 2:30 p.m. in the Corbett Center Senate Chambers. Some of the graduate schools scheduled to attend are New Mexico State University, Stanford University, North American Center for Australian Universities, University of Notre Dame Law School, University of New Mexico, University of Texas at Austin's Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Administration, Carnegie Mellon Heinz School of Public Administration and Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism.

Professional programs represented include law, medicine, naturopathic medicine, business, pharmacy, social work, optometry, chiropractic, health and biomedical science.
