Distance education student orientations set for January

The New Mexico State University Office of Distance Education will have free distance education student orientation sessions in January at the main and branch campuses.


untary orientations are designed to introduce and familiarize prospective, new and current distance education students with distance education at NMSU. The sessions will also cover technical basics and student support resources needed to be a successful distance education student.

The orientation sessions will be held on the following dates:

-- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, in SC Room 135 at NMSU Alamogordo.

-- 8 a.m. to noon or 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Room 124 at NMSU Grants.

-- 8 a.m. to noon or 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, in Room 318 at NMSU Carlsbad.

-- 8 a.m. to noon or 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, in Milton Hall Room 80 at the main campus.

The spring 2004 distance education student orientations are the first of a series of orientations planned to be held two times per year. Orientations are open to the public.
