New Mexico State University hosts 48th Annual Principals/Counselors Conference

More than 130 representatives from New Mexico and El Paso high schools will be at New Mexico State University Nov. 6-7 attending the 48th Annual Principals/Counselors Conference in the Corbett Center Student Union.


ference serves as an open house for high school counselors and principals to gather valuable information on New Mexico State for their students. It also offers high school administrators the opportunity to share ideas and thoughts on how NMSU and the Office of Admissions can serve them and their students.

Each year outstanding academic programs are highlighted for the high school personnel. This year's conference features the College of Business Administration and Economics and the College of Health and Social Services.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in the Corbett Center level two lobby and a continental breakfast will be served. Director of Admissions Angela Mora-Riley will introduce and review the program at 8:30 a.m. in the Corbett Center Auditorium.

At 10 a.m., the College of Health and Social Services will present "Health Matters" in the Corbett Center Auditorium. The College of Business Administration and Economics will present "Down to Business" at 1:30 p.m. in Guthrie Hall Room 100.

Other activities on Thursday include a visit with former students who now attend NMSU at 3:30 p.m., a tailgate at 5 p.m. and the Aggie football game at 6 p.m.

Friday's activities include a campus tour, presentations by a student panel, housing, financial aid and admissions.
