NMSU Homecoming 2003 to start Thursday

New Mexico State University's Homecoming 2003 will honor the 120 returning members of the 281st Transportation Company with complimentary tickets to the football game to celebrate a "Legacy of Heroes."

ing events will kick off Thursday, Oct. 30. Highlights include the Third Annual Danny Villanueva Scholarship Breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Corbett Center Ballrooms. Tickets are $20 and proceeds will fund the Danny Villanueva Scholarship Endowment.

The Samuel P. Maggard Courtyard will be dedicated and named in honor of Maggard, professor emeritus of civil engineering, at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in the courtyard that connects the engineering complexes.

The Alumni Social will be held in the Corbett Center Ballrooms from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

The President's Reception will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the University Art Gallery. Also at 10 a.m. is the homecoming parade, which will start at the Pan American Center, travel west on University Avenue and turn south on Knox Street.

The football game against Arkansas State University will be preceded by the Alumni Tailgate Party from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the football practice field. The game will begin at 5 p.m. in Aggie Memorial Stadium.

New Mexico State also is celebrating the 115th anniversary of its founding in 1888.
