New Mexico State University choirs to present "'Twas the Night"

The New Mexico State University Choirs and Director Jerry Ann Alt will present their annual holiday concert, "'Twas the Night," at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, and Saturday, Nov. 22, in the Music Center Recital Hall at NMSU.

Klein will lead NMSU's String Orchestra, choirs and the audience in George Frideric Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus." The String Orchestra and pianist Laura Spitzer will accompany the University Singers in "Missa Sancti Nicolai" by Joseph Haydn.

The Concert Choir, under the direction of choral conducting graduate student Steve Weston, will perform "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Masterworks, a choir composed of students, faculty and community members, will present two sections of "Missa Kenya" by Paul Basler.

The members of the University Singers, Concert Choir and Masterworks will combine to perform "Order My Steps," "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" and "Silent Night" before concluding the holiday concert with "Candlelight Carol" by John Rutter.
