Garrison flag flying at New Mexico State University

Vice President for Human and Physical Resources Ben Woods said today a garrison flag - an oversized version of the American flag - has replaced the usual flag on the university's main flagpole on the Horseshoe, just east of Espina Street. Officials decided to fly the 20-ft. by 40-ft. flag in memory of the victims of Tuesday's tragedies on the East Coast. "It's important for us to find ways to show our support for the families who have lost loved ones and friends and for those involved in the massive rescue efforts," Woods said today.
