Student nurses to hold career fair

The Student Nurses Association at New Mexico State University will hold a career fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Springhill Suites by Marriott, 1611 Hickory Loop.

"This is a great opportunity to learn what positions are available in the nursing field, network with employers and other nursing students from the surrounding area, and possibly even be offered a job," said Jasmine Kilpatrick, president of NMSU's Student Nurses Association.

Participating employers will include Memorial Medical Center, MountainView Regional Medical Center, La Pinon SANE Project, Lovelace Sandia, Presbyterian, Laurel Health Systems, Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center, Sierra Providence Hospital, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, Western Arizona Regional Medical Center, and others.

Nursing students from Dona Ana Branch Community College, NMSU-Alamogordo and the El Paso area have been invited to attend. The public also is welcome. The career fair is free and no registration is required.
