Memorial for Steven Judd scheduled for Sunday at New Mexico State University

New Mexico State University students, faculty, staff, family and friends will be celebrating the life of the late Steven Judd Sunday, Feb. 13, in the Doņa Ana Room of the Corbett Center Student Union.

The memorial service will begin at 7 p.m.

"Steven Judd was a bright student with a wonderful future ahead of him," NMSU President Michael V. Martin said following Judd's tragic death.

A computer science student, Judd died on Nov. 18 following a birthday celebration. Professors and colleagues remember him as an outstanding student and caring friend. He also was president-elect of his fraternity Delta Chi.

Judd's parents are working with the presidents of the Inter-Fraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council and Delta Chi on the memorial service. David Hotz, Coordinator of Greek Life, is working with the students.

The program is expected to include Isaac Gonzales, president of Delta Chi, someone from the clergy and the Judds. The family is working on a memorial slide presentation. All those attending the celebration will be given a chance to speak if they wish.
