NMSU hosts an Employment Extravaganza

New Mexico State University and Dona Ana Branch Community College (DABCC) will connect highly qualified students with potential employers on Wednesday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Employment Extravaganza 2004.

ollaborative venture between both educational institutions is designed to bring students and New Mexico employers together," said Steven S. Salway, director of NMSU's Placement and Career Services.

This dynamic venue will allow employers to provide information to hundreds of students on career areas within their organizations and inform them of all types of anticipated openings - part-time, temporary, summer, internship, co-op and professional level.

Richard Silva, director of DABCC's Career Placement Services, said he is pleased that employers statewide will receive greater exposure and increased awareness of students from both campuses.

Transportation will be provided for DABCC students from the parking lot by the DABCC Bookstore. Pick up and delivery of students is scheduled every 30 minutes from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The service is planned so DABCC students will not have problems parking at NMSU, Silva said.
