Finalists selected for top post at Dona Ana Branch Community College

Four finalists have been selected to interview for the position of campus executive officer of the Dona Ana Branch Community College (DABCC), a branch of New Mexico State University.

e Margie C. Huerta, chief academic officer at DABCC, who will interview Monday, May 10; Roland J. Chapdelaine, former president of Rock Valley College in Illinois, who will interview Tuesday, May 11; Roy C. Rodriguez, interim campus executive officer at DABCC, who will interview Wednesday, May 12; and Thomas E. Hines, president of Spoon River College in Illinois, who will interview Thursday, May 13.

Each candidate will participate in a day of interviews and meetings, including an open session for faculty, staff, students and the community. The open forums are scheduled for 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. in Room 96 of DABCC's central campus on Espina Street.

The campus executive officer is responsible for the overall administrative and educational leadership of the community college, which has two campuses and three satellite centers in Dona Ana County.

The finalists were selected from a national pool by a search committee co-chaired by Cynda Clary, assistant to the NMSU provost for academic affairs, and Anna Chieffo, associate academic campus officer at DABCC.
