New Mexico State University Board of Regents to meet May 11

The Board of Regents of New Mexico State University will meet at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, in the Regents Room of the Educational Services Center on the main NMSU campus in Las Cruces.


n the proposed agenda include:

- Approval of the operating budget for fiscal year 2001-2002.

- Approval of construction of the Health and Social Services Building.

- Approval of construction and land acquisition for the East Mesa Center of Dona Ana Branch Community College.

- Approval of an addition to and renovation of the Agricultural Institute Building and renovation of the Police Station Building.

- Approval of proposed capital outlay projects for fiscal year 2002-2003.

- Project approvals for the Williams Hall conservation laboratory addition; a build-out of the south end of the third floor of Engineering Complex III for the Consortium for Environmental Education and Technical Development; construction of an equestrian center building; and an addition to the fire station.

- Right-of-way agreements for the University Avenue widening project.

- Adoption of university parking regulations.

The regular session of the board will be preceded by a closed executive session at 9 a.m. Friday, May 11, in the Administrative Conference Room of the Dona Ana Branch Community College, Las Cruces, for the purpose of discussing personnel, real estate and legal matters.

The executive session will be followed, at about 10:30 a.m., by a tour of the community college, led by Campus Executive Officer Raul Ramirez.
