New Mexico State University Board of Regents to meet July 29 and 30

The Board of Regents of New Mexico State University will hold a planning retreat on Monday afternoon, July 29, and Tuesday morning, July 30, followed by a regular meeting of the board on the afternoon of July 30.

reat, to discuss tasks and issues for 2002-03, will begin at 1 p.m. July 29 in the Multipurpose Room of the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road in Las Cruces. The meeting is scheduled to recess before 6 p.m. and continue at 8 a.m. July 30 in the same location.

The regular meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:45 p.m. in the Regents Room of the Educational Services Center on the main campus in Las Cruces. Items on the proposed agenda include:

- Approval of a sale resolution for revenue bonds, Series 2002.

- Selection of a design firm for a campus wayfinding sign system.

- Parking citation appeals process.

- Approval of streets and art conservation lab naming.

- University gift and activity report.

- Introduction of LaSys Inc., a new technology spinoff company in the university's Genesis Center.
