Michael Rickenbaker selected as director of facilities planning and construction

Michael Rickenbaker has been selected as director of facilities planning and construction at New Mexico State University.



Michael Rickenbaker has been appointed director of facilities planning and construction at New Mexico State University.


Rickenbaker, who currently serves as director of facility planning at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La., will begin his NMSU duties on Sept. 20.

"Michael's prior experience is in master planning, developing capital outlay programs, and facilities planning and construction," said Benjamin E. Woods, NMSU's vice president for human and physical resources. "We are pleased to have someone with his credentials and background to join us in this key position."

Before joining Southeastern Louisiana University in 1996, Rickenbaker served at North Carolina State University as consulting architect for 10 years. He earned his master's degree in architecture at Clemson University in South Carolina.

Rickenbaker is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and registered as an architect in North Carolina and Louisiana. He is a member of the Association of University Architects and the American Institute of Architects.
