Luminaria vigil planned for Veterans' Day

A POW/MIA luminaria vigil will be held on the New Mexico State University Horseshoe from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Veterans' Day, Thursday, Nov. 11.


nt is sponsored by Silver Wings and the Arnold Air Society, two student service organizations associated with the Air Force ROTC. About 1,500 luminarias will be placed around the Horseshoe, which is located on the east side of South Espina Street.

Las Cruces Mayor Bill Mattiace is expected to be among the speakers. The public is invited.
