Old photographs are featured in "Vanished Landmarks of Southern New Mexico," the Rio Grande Historical Collections' 2005 calendar.

The large-sized calendar displays images of past New Mexico landmarks -- beautiful churches, proud buildings and prosperous communities -- that are no more. The pictures capture the transience of human experience and show the courage of those who strive to create something that lasts.

The price of the calendar is $5 and copies can be purchased in the second-floor offices of NMSU's Zuhl Library.

To see the cover image of the calendar on the Web, visit http://archives.nmsu.edu/rghc/2005calendar.htm.
