NMSU presents etiquette dinner April 17; seminar April 12, 19

Minding manners and the fine art of dining etiquette will be the focus of an etiquette dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 17, in the Dona Ana Room at New Mexico State University's Corbett Center Student Union.


nd the dinner, presented by Janet Green, director of the NMSU School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, participants should reserve seats by April 12. A fee of $8 covers dinner costs. Reservations may be made by phone with a credit card or in person at Garcia Annex Room 224. Dietary concerns or allergies should be noted at time of reservations.

"Dining etiquette plays a major part in the interviewing process," said Roseanne Bensley, assistant director of placement and career services. "The dinner and the seminar will give students needed instruction when entering the workforce."

An etiquette seminar will be given by Felicia Ybarra, director of presidential events, from 5 to 6 p.m. April 12 and April 19 in Room 302 of Corbett Center.

Both events are open to anyone who would like to attend.

The dinner and seminars are sponsored by NMSU's Placement and Career Services, School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management and the Office of University Advancement.
