NMSU student receives scholarship to study in Germany

Corinna Klinger, a junior with a double major in international business and management at New Mexico State University, will spend two semesters studying in Germany after winning the 2006-07 German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Undergraduate Scholarship.

, a graduate of Mayfield High School, will attend the University of Trier in the city of Trier, Germany, to fulfill the international business study abroad requirement.

"I hope to take away from this experience a broadened view of the world, especially German culture," said Klinger. "I hope to use the experience I gain to help me in my future, as I hope to work for a company in an international setting and will need to have a thorough understanding of different cultures in order to succeed."

More than 200 students from the United States and Canada applied for the scholarship with 62 undergraduate students from 52 universities chosen. Recipients will go to Germany to study, participate in internships and conduct senior thesis research.
