El Paso Diablos host "NMSU Night" July 7

The New Mexico State University community and university friends are invited to attend "NMSU Night" hosted by the El Paso Diablos when they play the Pensacola Pelicans at 7:05 p.m. Friday, July 7, at Cohen Stadium, 9700 Gateway North in Northeast El Paso.


for new students enrolling in the fall semester are free, but must be reserved ahead of time. Tickets for family and other NMSU community members and friends of the university can be purchased for $3.50.

Those wishing to purchase or reserve tickets must do so by June 28 by contacting NMSU's enrollment services office at nsoinfo@nmsu.edu, or calling (505) 646-1102. Included should be the student's name, phone number, mailing address, name on credit card, card number, expiration date, number of tickets for general audience to be purchased and the total number of tickets for new NMSU students to be reserved.

"We want our students to have the opportunity to interact with our faculty and staff members outside of the classroom environment," said Valerie Pickett, director of student marketing and transitions programs.

Michael Jordan, NMSU's volleyball coach, will throw the first pitch of the night with two of his players by his side. Some NMSU programs will have informational booths set up throughout the stadium.

Tickets can be picked up at Cohen Stadium at the NMSU ticket booth located at the third base gate. They can also be purchased the day of the game at the stadium ticket booth for $5, however seating in the NMSU section is not guaranteed.
