STONEWALL COALITION AT NMSU TO HOLD HOLIDAY ART SALE


newall Coalition at New Mexico State University will hold a holiday art sale from 3 to 9 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Peace Lutheran Church, 1701 Missouri Ave.

The sale will be in the form a silent auction. Refreshments will be served, and belly dancers will provide music and entertainment.

All profits from the art sale will benefit the Stonewall Coalition at NMSU, a student-run organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered students and their allies.

CAMPUS OBSERVATORY TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE DEC. 9

New Mexico State University's Department of Astronomy will hold an open house at the campus observatory starting at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9.

Astronomy personnel on hand will be faculty member Chris Churchill and graduate students James Stockton, Ryan Campbell and Paul Strycker.

The Tombaugh Observatory is located east of Williams Avenue, near the running track. Admission is free and children are welcome. The domes are not heated, so dress according to the weather. For more information call the astronomy department at (505) 646-4438.


NMSU MUSIC CENTER RECITAL HALL TO HOST RECITALS

The Music Center Recital Hall at New Mexico State University will host a Senior Recital featuring percussionist Oscar Cano at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 and a Senior Recital featuring Nicole Marquez on clarinet at 7 p.m. Dec. 11. For more information call (505) 646-2421.
