HERSHEL ZOHN THEATRE HOSTS "TWO DONUTS"


rican Southwest Theatre Company and the Creede Repertory Theatre will present "Two Donuts," a bilingual fantasy play, at 7 p.m. Sept. 1 and at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 2 at the New Mexico State University Hershel Zohn Theatre. Written by Jose Cruz Gonzales and told in Spanish and English with puppetry, music and humor, "Two Donuts" tells the story of a young boy from the barrio who learns to take pride in his culture and himself.
Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

LAS CRUCES SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM AT NMSU
The Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra will present the Classical Mystery Tour - a Tribute to the Beatles at 6 p.m. Sept. 3 at Aggie Memorial Stadium. A fireworks display will follow the show. Tickets are available at the Pan Am Center Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster outlets.

PROFESSOR TO PRESENT WORKSHOP ON SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION
New Mexico State University chemistry and biochemistry professor Glenn Kuehn will present a workshop on Treisman-Style Supplemental Instruction from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 7 in Milton Hall Room 50. Treisman-Style Supplemental Instruction is used to help greater numbers of students succeed in difficult courses.

LA SOCIEDAD PARA LA ARTES TO PRESENT READING
Rob Wilder will read from his book "Daddy Needs a Drink" at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in Room 106 of Hardman Hall on the New Mexico State University main campus. Wilder's book is a collection of essays from his monthly column in the Santa Fe Reporter in which he shares heartwarming and comic tales of raising a family. He earned his master's degree in creative writing from NMSU.

UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY OPENS EXHIBITION WITH RECEPTION
"The Book as Idea, Object and Art" opens at the NMSU Williams Hall Art Gallery with a public reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8 The exhibition will run through Oct. 22.

MEMORIES TO BE DISPLAYED AT UNIVERSITY MUSEUM
"New Mexico State University Memories: The First 30 Years" is on display at the University Museum until Dec. 16. Through photos and artifacts, this exhibit provides an informative glimpse into life at NMSU during the late 19th century and early 20th century.
