NMSU Hershel Zohn Theatre hosts "Two Donuts"

The American Southwest Theatre Company and the Creede Repertory Theatre will present "Two Donuts," a bilingual fantasy play, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m., and Sept. 2 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the New Mexico State University Hershel Zohn Theater.


by Jose Cruz Gonzalez and told in Spanish and English with puppetry, music and humor, "Two Donuts" tells the story of a young boy from the barrio who learns to take pride in his culture and himself.

"This is our second year collaborating with Creede Repertory Theatre," said Tom Smith, the American Southwest Theater Company producing artistic director. "After the performances here in Las Cruces, the production will begin a three month tour of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. Over 10,000 school children - many of whom are bilingual - will get to enjoy this production."

Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
