NMSU history professor to speak about Los Alamos, creation of atomic bomb

Jon Hunner, director of the public history program at New Mexico State University, will present "Inventing Los Alamos" 2 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum.


will talk about Los Alamos, Trinity and the 60th anniversary of the creation of the atomic bomb. He has recently published Inventing Los Alamos: The Growth of an Atomic Community and is currently writing a biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the first director of the Manhattan Project.
