Head Start gets help from the community

Dona Ana County Head Start, part of New Mexico State University's College of Education, has received 40 fans donated by groups in the community to be given to needy families whose children are enrolled in the program.


nada Masonic Lodge Foundation 70, Wal-Mart Supercenter and White Sands Federal Credit Union have all been contributors.

Head Start is a federal program for preschool children from low-income families. Dona Ana County Head Start is operated by local non-profit organizations and is funded to serve 258 children and their families.
