AGGIEFEST 2005 ACTIVITIES BEGIN AUG. 19


st 2005 activities will begin Aug. 19 at New Mexico State University and will continue into September. Inflatable Games will be played from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 19 outside of Corbett Center. At 9 p.m. a big screen outdoor movie will be featured on the Corbett Center Outdoor Stage.
At 9 p.m. Aug. 20, there will be a video dance party in the business complex court. At 7 p.m. Aug. 21, there will be an ice cream social and at 9 p.m. a big screen outdoor movie will be featured on the Corbett Center Outdoor Stage.

A Splash Bash Cookout with inflatable games is scheduled for 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 22 outside of Corbett Center.

On Aug. 24 there will be a Campus Crusade Pizza Bash at 5 p.m. outside of Corbett Center followed by Happy Hour Comedy with Bernie McGrenahan at 7 p.m. in the Corbett Center Ballroom.

On Aug. 25 live bands and a big screen outdoor movie will be featured on the Corbett Center Outdoor Stage at 7 p.m.

A south campus block party will be held at 9 p.m. Aug. 27.

NMSU ART GALLERY TO EXHIBIT WOODMAN PHOTOGRAPHY
Internationally known artist Donald Woodman will premiere his new photographic series, "The Therapist," at the New Mexico State University Art Gallery in the D.W. Williams Art Center.

The exhibition opens with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday Aug. 19, and will run through Oct. 8. The exhibition will also include an overview of Woodman's photography from the last 20 years.

NMSU THEATRE ARTS TO HOLD FALL AUDITIONS
The New Mexico State University Department of Theatre Arts and the American Southwest Theatre Co. are looking for men and women ages 18-65 to audition for fall 2005 productions. Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Hershel Zohn Theatre.

Those interested may sign up for an audition slot on the callboard in the theater lobby between Aug. 15 and Aug. 20. Actors are asked to prepare a contemporary monologue no longer than 60 seconds and a holiday or musical theater song no longer than 30 seconds to be sung acapella.

NMSU PRIDE MARCHING BAND TO HOLD CONCERT AUG. 23
The New Mexico State University Pride Marching Band will present "Concert on the Green" on the Corbett Center Outdoor Stage at 7 p.m. Aug. 23. The event is part of Aggiefest 2005.

NMSU THEATRE ARTS TO PRESENT PREMIERE PLAY ABOUT EINSTEIN
The New Mexico State University Department of Theatre Arts will present "Albert in Wonderland: A Fantasia on Einstein," written and performed by Jeremy Lawrence, in the Hershel Zohn Theatre at 8 p.m. Aug. 26 and 27 and at 2 p.m. Aug. 28. SAXOPHONIST TO PERFORM IN RECITAL AUG. 28
