NMSU to host career and graduate school fairs

Employers and graduate schools will have the opportunity to meet with candidates from New Mexico State University at two upcoming career and graduate school fairs.


t Annual Career Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, and Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the Ballrooms on the third floor of NMSU's Corbett Center Student Union. Employers will have the opportunity to provide general information and discuss internships, cooperative education positions (co-ops) and professional employment.

The Expo is co-sponsored by the NMSU College of Engineering and Placement and Career Services. On Sept. 20, the Expo will focus on students majoring in agriculture, business, health, arts and sciences. Sept. 21 will be reserved for students in engineering, science and technology majors.

Placement and Career Services and the NMSU Graduate School will sponsor the annual Graduate and Professional Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the Corbett Center Ballrooms. The fair will allow institutions to showcase the programs and studies that make their schools unique.

This year, Career Expo has more than 130 employers participating and will have more than 2,300 candidates, making it the largest career fair in New Mexico and west Texas. More than 85 institutions and more than 500 students participated in the Grad Fair last year.
