Borderlands historian to speak at New Mexico State University

Walter Brem, an expert in U.S., Mexican and Latin American history, will present a lecture at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, on the second floor of New Mexico State University's Branson Library.


ll lecture on "A Century of Research: Archival and Manuscript Access for

Borderlands and Mexican History." The presentation is sponsored by the NMSU Library's department of archives and special collections.

Brem is the resources coordinator for the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Arizona, where he teaches a graduate seminar on Latin American information and research resources. From 1985 to 2004, he was the Latin American curator at Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley.
