NMSU's Round Up and KRUX announce new managers

The managers for New Mexico State University's student-run media have been announced for the 1999-2000 academic year.

Heath Haussamen was chosen as the Round Up's new editor in chief and Rick Bagley will serve as the general manager for KRUX-FM.

The Round Up is NMSU's student-run newspaper, and is published twice a week during the fall and spring semesters. KRUX is the student radio station located at 91.5 on the FM dial.

Haussamen, who graduated from St. Michael's High School in Santa Fe, spent the last year as a reporter and news editor of the Round Up. Bagley, a graduate of Corona High School in Corona, N.M., served as KRUX's general manager since November 1998 and was reappointed for the upcoming year.

The media managers are selected by the NMSU student government's Publications and Communications Board. It is made up of current year media managers, student government officials, faculty and staff members, and student members.

The board selected Haussamen and Bagley because they have shown dedication to NMSU's student media. Haussamen said he is committed to increasing revenue for the Round Up and building the Web-based side of the paper. Since November, Bagley has shown his commitment to increasing advertising and improving the overall management of the radio station.
