Native American College Day cancelled

Due to the threat of winter storms, the American Indian Program at New Mexico State University has cancelled Native American College Day scheduled to take place on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Patrick Natoni, guidance and recruiting coordinator for the American Indian Program, said the cancellation is unfortunate because about 100 people, prospective students and their families, were expected to attend. The event was intended to inform Native American transfer students and high school seniors about NMSU and its academic programs.

Natoni encouraged those who planned to attend the Native American College Day to consider the upcoming Spring Visitors' Day as an option. Spring Visitors' Day will be held Feb. 19.
