Mobile cable television production studio to make stop at NMSU

A partnership between Comcast's Las Cruces affiliate and New Mexico State University's Campus Activities Union Program Council will allow students to tour a mobile production studio from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Corbett Center.

's Book TV Bus, a 45-foot long mobile television production studio, will stop at NMSU while on its nationwide tour promoting Book TV's non-fiction book programming. The Book TV Bus is traveling the country, stopping at local libraries, bookstores, book festivals and universities along the way.

The bus offers tours of its studio set, participation in an interactive demonstration about Book TV programming, the opportunity to learn how a television show is produced, and a chance to sign up for programming alerts. Also, Book TV will interview local author David Clary of Roswell on his latest book, "Adopted Son: Washington, Lafayette and the Friendship That Saved the Revolution."

Book TV airs every weekend providing 48 hours of non-fiction book programming on a variety of topics including history, biographies, politics, current events, and the media. Book TV features author interviews, readings, and panels at bookstores, libraries, and book festivals across the country.
