Dean of business takes position at Maryland university

Danny Arnold, dean of the College of Business Administration and Economics at New Mexico State, has accepted a position as dean of business at Frostburg State University in western Maryland.


business dean for nine years, will finish the spring semester at NMSU and start his new job July 1, 2003.

"This has been a great job," he said. "I've really enjoyed being dean here. I've had good bosses, and the faculty and staff in this college are excellent. The people here have made (my job) as easy as it can be. But it's time to move on; it's time for something different."

Frostburg State is a four-year public undergraduate and graduate university with an average enrollment of about 5,100 students a year.

A search is under way for a new dean of business. The 16-member search committee includes faculty, staff, student and community representatives. The screening of applications will begin Nov. 15 and continue until the position is filled.
